Being an avid traveler, there are many destinations that are in my wish-list. Ladakh ,Tibet, Bhutan, Gangtok, Rann of Kuch are some of the places that are on top of the list. One such place that had lingering somewhere at the bottom of this list was Daman. When a chance came to celebrate birthday function and reunion of college friend gave my friend and me an opportunity to visit Daman, we simply grabbed it both hands.

Daman is roughly 130 -odd km from Pune. The place is accessible both by road as well as train. We all wanted to had road trip so move aside the idea of travelling by train. In the meantime, my friend helped us to arrange a cab .

Finally, the d-day came and I along with my friend Vivek Mittal,Bishal Chettri ,Suhas Khamkar ,Kumar Saurav, Danish , Ansu ,and Natrajan left Mumbai in the morning around 11 a.m. for Daman. The drive was nothing to harp about. It was mostly 4-lane expressway roads so the ride was quite smooth but a touch dragging too. After brief stops for lunch and tea, we eventually made it to Daman by evening 4 p.m.

After reaching Daman we directly headed toward Jampore beach . Jampore Beach has golden sands and is often less crowded. You will find many shacks and various beach activities at Jampore beach. The shacks offer great seafood and cheap liquor..

We spend some time in the evening to walk on this beach road. Lot of effort put in place to make feel good and even one can enjoy the fresh beach air.Later on one of our college mate Rajnish Ojha joined us who used stay in Silvassa(Dadra and Nagar Haveli). Beach had  amazing view of the sunset.

After spending some time over beach we started our way to Rajnish Ojha home for stay .Post reaching the home we meet our another College mate Vaibhav Rao who had already arrived a day prior for Reunion.

Next day morning we went to Dudhani Lake .Best place to visit in the month September when one can go and enjoy nature and themselves.

Dadra-Nagar Haveli is made of hills and the views enroute to Dudhani lake were fantastic. We stopped in couple of locations to enjoy the beauty of the place before reaching the Dudhani lake. Thanks to the heavy monsoon rains, the lake was full. We climbed up the watch tower and the view of sprawling lake and hills around were mesmerizing. Walking around the boundary of the lake was fun however the lake was full to rim and even on the roads in some areas.

It was a serene looking lake housed with many boats to take you boating across the lake. You can enjoy a quiet little beautiful sunset sitting at the banks of the lake and watch pretty little ducks play in the water.

After spending some time over there we started our journey back to Mumbai and bidding goodbye and thankful to Rajnish Ojha and his roommate for making such good arrangement for our stay . Ayush Kumar Karn you really missed this reunion eve .
